Dylan Mulvaney Makes Broadway Debut in “Six”: 'Best Night of My Entire Life'

Dylan Mulvaneyis officially a Broadway star!

On Feb. 16, the 29-year-old content creator (who uses she/they pronouns) took the stage asAnne Boleyn inSix, which follows the lives of King Henry VIII's six wives through song.

After the curtain closed at Lena Horne Theatre on Monday night, Mulvaney — who rose to fame online by documenting her transition with the viral "Days of Girlhood" series — took to Instagram,sharinga behind-the-scenes clip of her cackling into her microphone, which she sweetly captioned, "Hi Broadway🤘🏻❤️"

Mulvaney was joined on stage by content creator and composer Abigail Barlow, 27, also making her Broadway debut in the role of Katherine Howard, as well as returning cast members Adrianna Hicks, Anna Uzele, Jasmine Forsberg and Olivia Donalson.

Mulvaney had the support of her friends and family in the crowd, including actor Joe Locke and her mom, who adorably wore custom shirts in support of her character Anne Boleyn. (Locke's read "Tranne Boleyn's gay friend," while Mulvaney's mom's read, "Tranne Boleyn's mom.")

Lying in bed after her big day, the internet personality told her followers via herInstagram Stories, "I'm not ready for a full debrief, but I do need you to know that I had the best night of my entire life and it's just getting better."

Mulvaney previously opened up online about the process of preparing for the role,reviving her "Days of Girlhood" seriesto mark the first day of rehearsals for the show on Jan. 19. In a video they posted to TikTok, the social media star shared that they had received many "lovely messages" after it was announced they would be assuming the iconic role — as well as some "not so lovely messages questioning my abilities or just hating in general."

"My first instinct was to come on here and try to convince those people that I do have what it takes to be a Broadway performer and to tell you why," she continued. "But then I realized that I shouldn't waste my own breath on that."

Mulvaney's Broadway performance follows heroff-Broadway debutinThe Least Problematic Woman in the World, a one-woman show, which had a limited run from Oct. 7 to Nov. 30.

While revealing in July that the show — which they wrote and had previously debuted at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland — was coming to New York City, Mulvaney told PEOPLE that they were "really excited to see how the humor plays, because I found the U.K. audiences to be a bit drier and a bit more drawn to the dark comedy."

She also shared that the show had been born, in part, from what she dubbed "Beergate" —backlashto a sponsored video she made with Bud Light, which sparked a boycott by critics who were upset that the brand had partnered with a transgender woman.

"I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I need to get back on stage, and it's really hard to get cast as a trans person right now in theater,' " the actress told PEOPLE. "So I was like, 'I need to write something.' "

Mulvaney earned a BFA in musical theatre from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music and has also performed in the role of Elder White in a national tour of the beloved musicalThe Book of Mormon.
