Palace Makes Major Error About Princess Anne's Family in Tribute originally appeared on Parade.

Royal fans quickly noticed the official palace website published a glaring error about Princess Anne's personal life in what was meant to be a special 75th birthday celebration.

The controversy reportedly began when eagle-eyed royal watchers spotted a factual mistake in the official tribute to King Charles' sister, who turns 75 on Friday, August 15.

Among the "75 fascinating facts" compiled to honor the Princess Royal, fact number 14 contained information that simply wasn't true.

The article incorrectly claimed that Princess Anne had gained two stepchildren named Tom and Amy Laurence through her second marriage to Sir Timothy Laurence.

However, when Princess Anne married Laurence in 1992, he was actually a bachelor with no children. The Princess Royal became his first and only wife, not a stepmother to non-existent children.

The real story behind Princess Anne's marriages is quite different from what the website reportedly claimed. Anne first married Captain Mark Phillips in 1973, and together they had two children, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall.

After 19 years of marriage, Anne and Mark divorced in 1992, and later that same year, Anne wed Sir Timothy Laurence, who had no previous children.

The error was swiftly removed from the website, according to Royal Central. Despite the mistake, the birthday tribute did include plenty of fascinating and accurate details about the hardworking royal.

The article noted that Princess Anne was born Princess Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise at Clarence House on August 15, 1950. A heartwarming photograph accompanying the tribute shows the late Queen Elizabeth cradling baby Anne in her arms.

The piece went on to highlight several achievements and firsts in Princess Anne's life. She was the first member of the Royal Family to appear on a television quiz show, specifically BBC's A Question of Sport.

Perhaps even more impressively, she became the first royal to hold an HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) license and has reportedly been photographed driving a double-decker London bus.

Princess Anne's charitable work also received well-deserved recognition in the tribute. She's served as patron or president of more than 400 organizations worldwide. The article noted that she was even nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize by the President of Zambia in 1990.

Princess Anne has marked numerous milestones throughout the decades — and you can discover more about her journey here.

Panera's Timing Couldn't Be Better as It Unveils Punny, Taylor Swift-Inspired Meal originally appeared on Parade.

Are you bready for it?

Panera sure is, working swifter than ever to launch a brand new meal option inspired by Taylor Swift's sourdough era—and her upcoming 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl.

The multihyphenate opened up about her adventures in sourdough during her podcast debut on beau Travis Kelce'sNew Heights, unveiling not only the countless flavor profiles she's nailed as a bread baker, but the impressive collection of puns she's come up with along the way, from, "It's a loaf story baby just yes yeast," to, "Loving him was bread."

Now, the "bread experts" at Panera—who are clearly also hardcore Swifties—are rolling out "The Loaf Story" Meal, "reminiscent of a fresh-baked love story," which is available on the Panera app now underneath the "Must Have Meals" section.

The brand describes it as a "love letter to bread enthusiasts everywhere," with three different fan-favorite bread options available for purchase: a loaf of its Country Rustic Sourdough, a 2-pack of its Sourdough Bread Bowl, and/or a French Baguette.

To accompany the bread-forward options, the eatery also unveiled a series of embroidered "In My Sourdough Era" sweatshirts, available for a cheeky $13.87. Available in green, orange or tan, each option shows as already sold out as of writing, but we've reached out to Panera to see if a restock is in store.

Brands and other celebrities were all very quick on their feet after Swift unveiled the cover art for her upcoming record, flooding social media with memes and photos playing on the title and artwork—including Guy Fieri, who one fan said had the "best post of the year."

'Game of Thrones' Star Leaves Little to Imagination in Fully Sheer Lace Dress originally appeared on Parade.

Sophie Turner, who is most well known for roles in projects like Game of Thrones and the X-Men franchise, stunned fans with her sultry look while promoting her new film, Trust, on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Aug. 14.

The actress arrived at the show in a gorgeous ensemble, showing off her toned physique in a completely sheer black lace form-fitting dress with a black underwear set underneath. She had her blonde hair styled in soft waves, while she wore red nail polish on her hands and feet and peep-toe black heels.

In a new official photo for her appearance, Turner wore a soft smile on her face while she posed in the revealing look.

Turner is Promoting Her New Film Trust

Turner attended the show on Aug. 14 to promote her next movie, Trust, co-starring Katey Sagal, Rhys Coiro, Billy Campbell, Peter Mensah and more.

The film stars Turner as Lauren Lane, a Hollywood star who retreats to a cabin in a remote area to hide out after a scandal, only to have to fight for her life against someone she thought she could trust. Trust comes out in theaters on Aug. 22.

What's Coming up Next for Turner

After Trust, Turner's next project is another thriller, but a television series. She is starring in the show called Steal with Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Archie Madekwe, and others. The show is about a huge heist, and a regular office worker, likely Turner's character, who finds herself entangled in the case.

Turner is also reportedly attached to a Tomb Raider adaptation to play the lead Lara Croft, but the project's status is unclear. Despite the ambiguity surrounding the TV series, Turner recently impressed fans with her intense muscles that could be in preparation for the alleged role.

VEGA BAJA, Puerto Rico (AP) — Tourists slipped into borrowed red polyester vests from the Puerto Rico supermarket where Bad Bunny once worked, grinning as they posed for photographs in the superstar's old uniform.

They listened intently as his former boss recalled how he loved classic salsa songs. "He always liked going to the parking lot to gather the shopping carts because it seemed that he felt free there and would sing," said Delza Vélez, the head of HR at Econo, the supermarket.

In 2016, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio quit that job, leaving Vélez a note. Two years later, he launched his first album — and the singer known as Bad Bunny stepped into stardom.

This summer, thousands descended on Puerto Rico, where the singer's concert residency in San Juan, running from mid-June through mid-September, has single-handedly boosted the island's fragile economy. The prodigious son has elevated the global profile of the U.S. territory, singing about Puerto Rico's turmoil and identity.

Visitors come not only to see him but to explore his island. Thousands have stood in line for days or waited hours online to snag a ticket for the reggaetón singer and rapper, one of the most streamed artists in the world.

A father and son with the same name, Eddie Villanueva, traveled from Switzerland for a full Bad Bunny experience on a $5,000 budget, including $40 tickets for a tour of the star's hometown of Vega Baja.

"Delighted. Incredible," said the younger Villanueva, 23.

'No one can steal that'

Nearly three dozen hotels are participating in Bad Bunny packages, which include the concert and which have generated nearly $200 million, according to Discover Puerto Rico, an organization that promotes the island.

More than 48,000 nights have been booked at hotels at a time when visits dwindle ahead of the peak of the Atlantic hurricane season. Concert organizers say 25,000 packages were sold in just one day.

Hotel reservations were 10% higher on July 27, compared with the same date last year. Short-term rentals are up 42% this month, compared to last August, and 61% higher for September. With up to hundreds of dollars per concert ticket, the show is expected to attract about 600,000 people.

Nearly 7% more flights were booked between July and September from the U.S. mainland to Puerto Rico's main international airport than during the same period last year, according to aviation analytics company Cirium.

The windfall comes as Puerto Rico promoters focus more on its culture, rather than beaches.

"We can argue that they're the prettiest, but they're beaches. What makes us unique is the culture. No one can steal that," said Ricardo Cortés Chico, a spokesperson for Discover Puerto Rico.

Doing it right

In Bad Bunny's hometown, tourists visit his former high school, the supermarket where he worked — even the church where he served as an altar boy.

On a recent morning, the Villanuevas posed in front of a Bad Bunny mural on an agricultural supply store that sells harnesses for horses and feed for fighting cocks. For $20, they bought two caps emblazoned with "PR" for Puerto Rico, drawing a wide smile from the cashier.

G8, a nonprofit that helps impoverished communities in the capital of San Juan, launched a $25 guided bike tour called "I should have biked more" — a play on Bad Bunny's newest album, "Debí Tirar Más Fotos," which translates to "I should have taken more photos."

Another nonprofit, Acción Valerosa, partnered with the music group Los Pleneros de la Cresta, which plays at Bad Bunny's concerts, to create the "Café con Ron" tour, named after one of his songs.

They ferry tourists to Ciales, a coffee-producing town nestled in the central mountains. The tour includes a workshop on Puerto Rico's traditional music, and the money generated will be used to convert a former casino into a community center.

Even some university students are cashing in on Bad Bunny.

Longtime fan Julietta Dasilva is flying in from Denver for the Aug. 29 concert. She said she booked a $45 tour led by a local student instead of any of the commercial tours.

"I want to do it right," she said.

A flag, a toad and a cash register

Traditional tourism in Puerto Rico meant a hike at El Yunque tropical forest, a visit to Old San Juan and a splash at a nearby beach. Now, people flying in for the concert drive to far-flung towns such as Cabo Rojo, the southernmost point of Puerto Rico, to experience more of the island.

"Thanks to Bad Bunny, a lot of our landmarks have become known," said Ángel Rodríguez, owner of the Boquemar hotel in Cabo Rojo.

The hotel — located next to a famous dock emblazoned with Puerto Rico's flag that was featured in a Bad Bunny video — has seen 7% more customers this summer, Rodríguez said.

Visitors have also asked him where they could see Puerto Rican crested toad, the island's sole indigenous toad species that was featured in a video as part of Bad Bunny's newest album. Rodríguez said he had to disappoint them — the creature is not easily spotted.

Heidy Crespo, who leads tours of Bad Bunny's hometown, said dozens of people have signed up, with officials noting they have generated some $1,000 in revenue.

"I never thought people would want to see where he worked," she said. "But I love it. I love seeing people's eyes shine."

A full experience

Vicky Galvez flew to San Juan from Las Vegas with two friends in early August, for the first round of concerts open to fans from outside the island. The 39-year-old hairstylist said the trip was much more than just a music event and that she felt good about the roughly $2,450 she spent.

Around town, Galvez and her friends saw murals of the singer and lines outside eateries made popular by Bad Bunny. They ate at the cozy, family-owned La Casita Blanca, where the two-hour wait was worth it to support the restaurant, she said.

Their server told them that it has been "complete bananas" since Bad Bunny was photographed eating there. "I did shop local, and that was great," Galvez said.

Wilson Santiago Burgos, founder of the travel platform, "Mochileando," said he had doubted the government would hop on the Bad Bunny train because the artist has heavily criticized the island's two main political parties.

But the opposite happened — tours were launched, food and drinks were named after Bad Bunny's songs, and small businesses sold clothes and other handmade goods sought by tourists.

"People are starting to consume, to produce things strictly from Puerto Rico," Santiago Burgos said.

The message is attractive, he added. Bad Bunny tells people who come to see him: "This is the homeland that I love … I invite you to get to know it."

Even if you have money, sometimes it's hard to feel like you're rich with the cost of living skyrocketing or factors linked to lifestyle creep. However, if you make a healthy six figures, you might be in the top 1% of wage earners in the United States.

Obviously, this is a great money-making group to be a part of, but depending on where you live, you could still miss the mark and fall into an extremely comfortable category — but not the top 1%.

Here's how much you need to make in salary alone to be part of the 1% in America, plus how much you need to make to be in the top 5% and top 10% of wage earners.

Trending Now: Suze Orman's Secret to a Wealthy Retirement--Have You Made This Money Move?

How Much Does the Top 1% Make?

According to data from the Social Security Administration, you need to make $794,129 annually to be in the top 1% of wage earners in the U.S. This is based on an analysis of the most recently available wage data.

To break this down further, you'd need to earn about $66,178 per month, or about $15,272 per week, to be in the top 1% of income earners.

Learn More: How Much You Need To Earn To Be Upper Middle Class in Every State

How Much Do the Top 5% and Top 10% Make?

If you're not making over $750,000 per year, you might not be part of the 1%. But if you make six figures, there's a chance you're in the top 10% of wage earners in the U.S. — or even the top 5%.

Here's how much you need to make to be in the top 5% and the top 10% in America:

Top 5% income threshold: $352,773

Top 10% income threshold: $148,812

As you can see, earning just under $150,000 puts you in the top 10% of all wage earners in the U.S. This doesn't put you in the elite class of top 1% earners, but you make more, on average, than 90% of American households.

If you make just more than double that amount, you'll be in the top 5% of American household income.

The Top 1% Income Varies by State

Being a top 1% income earner in the U.S. doesn't necessarily make you part of the top 1% wage earners in your state. In fact, the salary for the top 1% of earners varies quite a bit — depending on where you live.

GOBankingRates recently crunched the numbers on location-specific data, showing how much you would need to have earned last year to be part of the 1% in your state.

Here's the salary required to be part of the 1% in the top 10 states:

Connecticut: $1,192,947

Massachusetts: $1,152,992

California: $1,072,248

Washington: $1,024,599

New Jersey: $1,010,101

New York: $999,747

Colorado: $896,273

Florida: $882,302

Wyoming: $872,896

New Hampshire: $839,742

As you can see, the numbers vary by more than $350,000 from Connecticut to New Hampshire.

Here's the data for the 10 lowest-earning states:

Ohio: $601,685

Iowa: $591,921

Alabama: $577,017

Indiana: $572,403

Oklahoma: $559,981

Arkansas: $550,469

Kentucky: $532,013

New Mexico: $493,013

Mississippi: $456,309

West Virginia: $435,302

The difference between the top 1% wage earners in Connecticut and West Virginia is over $750,000 per year!

TORONTO (AP) — Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning, helping Max Scherzer and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Chicago Cubs 2-1 on Thursday.

Guerrero's big hit off Matthew Boyd lifted AL East-leading Toronto to the series victory. It was the 20th homer of the season for the All-Star slugger.

Scherzer (3-2) pitched seven-plus innings while improving to 6-2 in 12 career starts against the Cubs. He permitted one run and five hits.

Jeff Hoffman handled the ninth for his 27th save in 32 chances. Toronto improved to 40-20 at home.

Boyd (11-6) allowed two hits in seven innings. He struck out five and walked one.

Boyd walked Davis Schneider to begin the seventh. Ernie Clement followed with a sacrifice bunt before Guerrero lined an 0-2 pitch 402 feet to left-center.

The Cubs had just one hit off Scherzer before Michael Busch went deep with one out in the sixth for his 24th homer.

Promoted from Triple-A Iowa before the game, Cubs prospect Owen Caissie made his major league debut about 30 miles east of his birthplace in Burlington, Ontario. He went 0 for 4 with a strikeout.

ORIOLES 5, MARINERS 3

BALTIMORE (AP) — Rookie Tomoyuki Sugano earned his 10th victory by working 5 1/3 sharp innings before a lengthy rain delay, and Baltimore defeated Seattle.

Julio Rodríguez homered for Seattle, which has dropped consecutive games since winning eight in a row. The Mariners (67-55) fell 1 1/2 games behind AL West-leading Houston.

Catcher Cal Raleigh, who leads the majors with 45 home runs, was out of Seattle's starting lineup for only the fifth time this season. He walked as pinch-hitter in the ninth.

Sugano (10-5) won back-to-back starts for the first time. The 35-year-old from Japan threw 81 pitches and was pulled after the 2-hour, 18-minute delay.

Rodriguez hit reliever Rico Garcia's fourth pitch after play resumed into the bleachers in right-center, a two-run shot to bring the Mariners within 5-2.

Dietrich Enns allowed Randy Arozarena's one-out RBI grounder in the ninth, but retired Josh Naylor on one pitch to earn his first save since Sept. 20, 2021.

The Orioles took the lead against Logan Evans (6-5) in the fourth inning. Jordan Westburg scored on Evans' two-out wild pitch, and Ryan Mountcastle moved from first to third on the same play when Evans couldn't field catcher Mitch Garver's throw. After Daniel Johnson walked, Mountcastle scored when he and Johnson executed a double steal. Johnson came around on Jeremiah Jackson's RBI single.

NATIONALS 3, PHILLIES 2

WASHINGTON (AP) — Jose Tena hit a go-ahead, two-run single in the seventh inning, Paul DeJong homered for the third time in five games and Washington rallied past Philadelphia.

DeJong walked leading off the seventh against Jesus Luzardo (11-6). Riley Adams doubled, Daylen Lile walked and, with one out, Tena singled past the drawn-in infield against Orion Kerkering to put Washington ahead 3-2.

Shinnosuke Ogasawara (1-1) struck out Kyle Schwarber with a runner on to end the seventh and got his first major league win. Rookie Cole Henry worked the ninth and fanned Trea Turner with a runner on third to secure his first career save.

Turner had three infield hits for the National League East-leading Phillies, who have lost three straight while scoring three runs. Philadelphia left eight men on base.

Luzardo allowed three runs on four hits in six-plus innings.

GUARDIANS 9, MARLINS 4

CLEVELAND (AP) — José Ramírez had three hits and scored three runs, Gabriel Arias had a pair of RBIs and Cleveland beat Miami.

The Guardians trailed 3-0 in the first and 4-3 in the fourth, but rallied for their 23rd win in 32 games and moved within one-half game of the idle New York Yankees for the final American League wild-card spot.

Arias' sacrifice fly in a two-run fifth against Edward Cabrera (6-6) put Cleveland ahead for good at 5-4. David Fry and Brayan Rocchio both singled in runs in the seventh, when the Guardians scored four times off Valente Bellozo.

Tanner Bibee (9-9) extended his winning streak to five by working 5 2/3 innings and giving up four runs (two earned). Cade Smith entered with the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth and retired Liam Hicks for his sixth save.

Augustin Ramírez had an RBI single in the first when Miami took a 3-0 lead. The other runs came in when Guardians catcher Austin Hedges dropped a throw at the plate, allowing Kyle Stowers and Ramírez to score.

BRAVES 4, METS 3

NEW YORK (AP) — Ozzie Albies homered, drove in the go-ahead run with a double in the eighth inning, and hit an RBI single as Atlanta beat slumping New York.

Bryce Elder (5-9) allowed three runs (two earned) over seven innings for the Braves, who are 7-3 against the Mets this season. Raisel Iglesias earned his 17th save with a perfect ninth.

Albies went deep against starter Kodai Senga in the third and hit an RBI single off Tyler Rogers in the sixth. Michael Harris II tied the game with an RBI double off Ryan Helsley (3-3) in the eighth before scoring on Albies' hit to deep right.

The Mets have lost 13 of their last 15 games and their lead over the idle Cincinnati Reds in the race for the final wild-card spot shrunk to a half-game.

Francisco Lindor hit a third-inning solo homer and Brandon Nimmo (sacrifice fly) and Pete Alonso (single) had back-to-back RBIs to give the Mets a 3-2 lead in the sixth.

Senga gave up two runs in 5 2/3 innings.

TIGERS 4, TWINS 3, 11 INNINGS

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Colt Keith scored on Gleyber Torres' sacrifice fly in the 11th inning and Detroit overcame an early three-run deficit to beat Minnesota.

Riley Greene hit his team-leading 28th home run to help Detroit win for the fourth time in five games and fifth in seven.

Starting at second base in the 11th inning, Keith advanced to third on a wild pitch by Erasmo Ramírez (0-1) and scored on a Torres' sacrifice fly.

Rafael Montero (1-1) got the final four outs for the Tigers.

Detroit starter Tarik Skubal overcame a shaky third inning to get through seven innings, allowing three runs. He had only three strikeouts. When he last faced the Twins on June 29, he struck out 13 in seven innings.

Edouard Julien homered before Ryan Jeffers and Luke Keaschall had RBIs in a three-run Minnesota third, but Skubal retired 13 of the final 14 hitters he faced.

DIAMONDBACKS 8, ROCKIES 2

DENVER (AP) — Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a three-run homer in the first inning, Eduardo Rodriguez pitched a season-high seven innings and Arizona beat Colorado.

Arizona improved to 60-62, winning for the sixth time in seven games and the ninth in 12.

Rodriguez (5-7), who had allowed five earned runs in 5 1/3 innings against the Rockies five days earlier, matched his longest outing since October 2023. He gave up one run and struck out six.

Jose Herrera hit a two-run homer in the second inning, and Ketel Marte and also drove in two runs.

The Diamondbacks have homered in 12 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the majors. They lead the majors with 24 homers since Aug. 2.
