Hilary Duff Worries Her Kids Will Remember Being with the Nanny Instead of Her as She Prepares for Tour: 'My Job Sucks Sometimes'

Hilary Duffis getting ready to hit the stage this summer for her new tour — but the mom of four says she's worried that her kids will only remember this time as one of her being away.

The singer and actress, 38, spoke withRolling Stonefor a new interview and shared that while she was recently packing to leave for tour and go to a wardrobe fitting, her daughter Banks, 7, was sick at home.

"In my mind, I'm like, 'They're going to look back at this time and be like, I was sick and my nanny was painting my toes and my mom was downstairs shopping,' " Duff told the outlet. "And I'm like, my job sucks sometimes. You know what I mean?"

Duff added that her daughter Banks told her she was watching a Disney series calledBunk'd, while the actress joked she should be watching something else. "I was like, 'What aboutLizzie McGuire? Hello!' " she recalled.

The "Mature" singer shares her daughters, Townes, 21 months, Mae, 4, and Banks with husband Matthew Koma. She is also mom to son Luca, 13, from a previous relationship.

Last month, Duff spoke withVanity Fairand shared that her daughter Mae had recently seen her filmA Cinderella Story. In a video interview, Duff rewatched some of her most iconic scenes from her classic works and, while looking at a particular moment in the 2004 movie, shared her daughter Mae'sreaction to one particular aspect of the storyline.

"My 4-year-old has watched this movie and also picked up on like, how could he not know it's you in that mask? And I was like, 'It's the age-old question, honey,' " said the mom of four. "And she's like, 'But it's you. You are right there. I don't understand. How does he not know?' I'm like, 'I know.'"

Back in October, Duff shared scenes from her daughter Banks' birthday festivities onInstagram, showcasing her family of six celebrating the newly minted 7-year-old. In the post, Duff included several shots of her "joyful Scorpio tornado" in her two-piece blue bathing suit, enjoying bounce houses, water balloons, water slides and more.

"The gorgeous Banks Bair turned 7 last Saturday! What a glorious 7 years it's been!" she began in her caption. "Banks LOVES her friends, her family, her school, loves to dance, read, sing, cartwheel and is all around just a sweet, charming angel of a human/kid."

"Our days are endlessly entertaining because she exists and graces us with her mind, empathy, and spice," continued Duff. "Love you my joyful Scorpio tornado! I'm buckled up for the next 7! Let's goooooo."
